Warrington Town are pleased to welcome midfielder Reece Daly to the club following his departure from Chester.
Daly, 20, has been at Chester since the age of 16 and was their Goal of the Season winner in 2023/24, a campaign where he made 19 appearances in the National League North.
Last season he featured 10 times for Chester, including at the Cal.Delivery Stadium against the Yellows in a 1-1 draw.
He also spent time on loan at Runcorn Linnets and Witton Albion, making 25 appearances in the Northern Premier League West Division.
Daly said: “I’m buzzing – I played here last season and it’s a tough place to come to. When I spoke to Cards, he made it seem like the club was really good and on the up.
"I’m hoping I can come straight in and get the promotion straight away, hopefully with a title win. I’m looking forward to it and really excited.
“I spoke to Cards and it was just a bit different to any conversation I had with anyone else. He was more real and he made it sound like the club was going the right way. In the end, it was a no-brainer.
“I’d like to think I’m one of those players who is creative. I like to get goals and assists and make the fans happy. I’ll work hard and that’s probably the main thing – I’ll give everything for the shirt.
"Hopefully the fans will take to me, and I think they will.”
Daly becomes the third new signing of the summer, following the arrivals of defenders Scott Butler and James Melhado.
Manager Paul Carden added: “Reece was someone who caught my eye when I went and watched a game at Chester a while ago.
"He’s had a couple of loans where he’s done well in the NPL West – he went to Witton and scored a load of goals for them, and he’s scored goals for Chester.

"He gives us that extra goal threat – he’s not afraid to shoot, he’s got good energy and ability.
“He’s only 20 but he’s played a fair few games for a young lad, and he’s turned down a really good offer to come and join us. That’s brilliant because he’s coming for the right reasons – he wants a platform to develop, and hopefully we can help him with that.
“He can see a pass, he can link the play and he comes highly endorsed by the manager at Chester, as well as a few of their players that I know.
"He wants to kick on and push himself.”
