Michael Rose says the Yellows must continue working together and working hard, with lots more to come from the team.
Paul Carden’s side currently sit at the top of the Pitching In Northern Premier League Premier Division side, with an unbeaten start to the season and 12 league points.
The side, who are yet to concede a goal this season, have opened the 2020/21 campaign with results against Basford United, Gainsborough Trinity, Atherton Collieries and Whitby Town. But Rose insists the team can’t get carried away.
“We have started very well, but there is a lot more to come,” he said.
“At times we haven’t played particularly well in certain parts of the games and rode our luck a little bit.
“Charlie has done really well in goal, including the penalty save and few other good ones, so he deserves a lot of credit.

“We are creating chances at the other end as well, but we know we can always improve on that.
“We’ve just got to do what we have been doing really. As I said, it’s still very early on and we can’t get carried away with ourselves. We just need to keep working together and working hard and hopefully the results will continue.”
Rose, 38, featured on trial with the club during pre-season, having played more than 500 games in the Football League for the likes of Rochdale, Morecambe, Stockport County and Norwich City, winning promotion on four occasions.
“I’ve really enjoyed my time here so far, I’ve settled in well getting to know the lads better by the day,” he said.
“Training is good and there is a lot of talent here. I’ve known Cards (Paul Carden) and Bees (Mark Beesley) for years, so it made it easier for me to come down.
“I’ve always stayed in touch with Bees and to be fair to him he’s rang me for the past couple of years and asked me to come. Cards knows how he wants us play and it’s a good group of lads that want to learn and progress.”

The Yellows look to continue their fine start to the season as they travel to the Don Amott Arena to face Mickleover, who sit 16th in the league table with a record of one win and two defeats.
“It’s early days and we can’t get ahead of ourselves,” said Rose.
“We have to take each game as it comes and improve ourselves each week.
“There’s a few things we can work on and tidy up which I’m sure will be looked at in training this week as we go into Saturday.”
