Warrington Town manager Mark Beesley admits his side need to find a way of getting out of the sticky situation they currently find themselves in.
Tuesday night’s 3-2 defeat to Bamber Bridge was the Yellows’ third straight loss in all competitions.
Matty McDonald netted his first goal for the club and Jay Harris also scored his first of the season, but it wasn’t enough as the Brig secured all three points at the Sir Tom Finney Stadium.
Speaking post-match, Beesley said: “You can’t give teams a 2-0 start. For the first half-hour we were all over the place, which is not like us.
“We’re in a bit of a sticky spell, there’s no hiding that. We’ve lost three games on the bounce, and this club isn’t used to that.
“There are tough league games coming up before we’re in the cup again, and we’ve got to get ourselves out of it.”
Beesley has called on his players to show their fighting spirit as they look to try and address their recent form, starting at home to Radcliffe on Saturday.
“We can’t feel sorry for ourselves,” he added. “We’ve got to learn and be better than we were for the first 30 minutes tonight.
“We’ve lost our way a little bit, but sometimes when you’re fighting for results, you’ve got to stick to the way you want to play.
“But obviously, we’ve got to start by keeping clean sheets.”
