Warrington Town manager Mark Beesley says his side need to address their poor home form sooner rather than later after falling to their fourth successive defeat at Cantilever Park.
Darlington took all three points from their trip to WA4 on Easter Monday as goals from Aidan Rutledge and Cameron Salkeld (2) helped the Quakers to a 3-1 victory which moves them two points clear of the relegation zone.
The Yellows have now failed to win at home since a 2-1 win over basement boys Bishop’s Stortford at the start of March, and Beesley admits his side were architects of their own downfall.
“It’s a disappointing result,” he said post-match.

“I felt that there wasn’t much in the game in the first half. [Darlington] started well, but once we got to grips with that, we opened them up at times and should’ve done a little bit better.
“In the second half, we gave the ball away in the middle of the pitch, didn’t recover well enough and they scored an easy goal.
“We still had chances and got ourselves back into it, then Isaac [Buckley-Ricketts] had a great chance at 2-1 but headed it wide.
“When you’re chasing the game, you then leave yourself wide open at the end.”
The Yellows remain in the top half of the National League North table on goal difference but are now six points adrift of the play-offs with three games to play.

Their only remaining home fixture sees Hereford visit Cantilever Park on Saturday 13 April, and Beesley is keen to stop the downturn in results on home soil before the club’s debut season in the National League North comes to an end.
“You want to win your home games. People are coming to watch and support you, so losing at home really hurts us,” he added.
“It’s our ground, and over the last few years with what we’ve built here, we’ve been great at home.
“But in the last few weeks, results haven’t been good enough and we need to stop it before the end of the season as we don’t want to finish with another defeat.”
