Yellows boss Mark Beesley states that there were mixed emotions in the dressing room following their 1-1 draw away at Stafford Rangers in the Northern Premier League.
Warrington Town fought back to claim a point at Marston Road through Isaac Buckley-Ricketts’ second half finish which cancelled out Joe Kenton’s goal on the hour mark.
Despite praising his team’s ability to get back into the game, Mark Beesley reiterates that his team need to be more clinical when taking their chances as well as lamenting the fact that his side conceded another sloppy goal.
“I think we’ve probably got a bit of mixed emotions,” he said.
“To come back and get a point away at Stafford has to be a good point, but I find myself going back to the same things.
“We need to be better in front of goal – we’re creating a lot of chances at the moment, not taking them and we’re giving away sloppy goals.
“We need to be finishing chances,” he added. “If we weren’t creating them, there would be more of a concern but they are great chances.”

Warrington Town are without last season’s top goalscorer Jordan Buckley, after he was injured during their 2-1 victory over Nantwich Town at the end of August, but Beesley states that this is no excuse for his team, especially with the reintroduction of Josh Amis, who will bolster their goal scoring threat.
“We are missing own goals and things like that.
“Hopefully that will turn around with the quality of player we’ve got – people like Josh Amis are coming back now. He’s been out a while and has been a big miss.
“Yes, our main goalscorer is injured but it’s a long season and these are things we have to overcome.”
At the other side of the field, Beesley praises his team’s cohesion as a defensive unit, but says that individual errors must cease quickly, especially as they continue their FA Cup campaign against Hyde United this weekend.
“We’re defending really as a team but hopefully these individual mistakes, which can happen at any level of football, will stop soon.
“Hyde are scoring a lot of goals and have got some good attacking players.
“We need to be on our guard because at home on their pitch, they are strong.”
