Warrington Town have signed young forward Ben Hatton on loan from Rotherham United.
Described as a shining light in the Millers’ academy, Hatton penned his first professional contract in January 2024 and became part of the first-team squad in the summer. He is a team-mate of defender Hamish Douglas, who has made 30 appearances for the Yellows on loan already this season.
Hatton, 19, made three appearances as a substitute in the Championship last season, and has featured this term in the EFL Trophy and FA Cup.
Paul Carden has been working to secure Hatton for several weeks, and he now comes in to provide further options in the attacking positions.
Meanwhile, skipper Josh Amis’ hand injury that he forced him off in midweek against Chester is not as bad as first feared.
He should join Hatton in being in contention for this Saturday’s home game against Radcliffe.
