Warrington Town’s final pre-season friendly ahead of the 2023/24 campaign will now be this Saturday, July 29, after the trip to Bootle next Tuesday was postponed.
The Yellows travel to Bamber Bridge in the reverse of May’s Northern Premier League play-off final, in what will be the last chance for Mark Beesley to put his squad through their paces ahead of the National League North opener away at Southport on Saturday 5 August.
Although scheduled to travel to Bootle to face the Northern Premier League West Division side on August 1, the decision was made to instead get a further training session in, particularly with a couple of players returning from niggles sustained over the off-season.
The club would like to thank Bootle manager Dave McNabb for his understanding, and wish them luck in their newly-arranged game against Hyde United on the same evening.
The Yellows are on the road tonight, Tuesday July 25, to take on Nantwich Town at Whitchurch Alport FC. The Dabbers normal home ground is being re-surfaced with a new 3G pitch.
Next week, the Warrington Town Season Launch event will take place on Wednesday 2 August at the Village Hotel from 7pm. Tickets can be bought here.
