Man of the Match Evan Gumbs said Warrington Town showed they can fight to the end in their late 2-0 win over Morpeth Town.
It took until the 89th minute for Isaac Buckley-Ricketts to break the deadlock, before Jordan Buckley added a second deep in to injury time.
Centre-half Gumbs impressed at the back alongside Tom Hannigan, making his debut following his summer signing from Altrincham.
Gumbs said: “We got exactly what we wanted. We shown that we fought to the end, everyone put a shift in. It was tough today.

“We started a bit slow today, we’re a lot better than what we showed in the first 10 or 15 minutes.
“We knew a few chances would come if we kept going and to score two in the last five minutes is a good way to win the game.”
Gumbs played most of the game on a yellow card, after he was booked early on for a foul on Dale Pearson, despite appearing to win the ball.
It was also a tough afternoon for both sides in the searing heat, with the game paused in both halves for a drinks break.

On his caution, Gumbs added: “I got the ball! But in today’s game getting the ball and the man is too much nowadays.
“It was tough. There’s nothing you can do about it. I love it, I’d play in it every week. But it does take its toll, it tires you out. But it’s been lovely in pre-season as well.
“But focus on the game, forget about the weather and just do what we can.”
The attendance was 576 and the 50/50 half-time draw winning ticket number was 12731.
