Warrington Town must use last weekend’s remarkable 1-0 win at home to Bamber Bridge to their advantage ahead of a tricky run of fixtures, says forward Luke Duffy.
Despite playing virtually the entirety of the match with 10 men following an early red card for Sean Williams, the Yellows defied the odds and picked up three points against their play-off rivals thanks to a late solo goal from Bohan Dixon.
Although down a man, it was Mark Beesley’s side who created the better chances, with Jordan Buckley and Josh Amis going close to doubling their advantage late on.

With more tough tests on the horizon, Duffy believes Saturday’s victory shows exactly what they are capable of when faced with adversity.
“Saturday was a massive win for the lads,” he said.

“I thought the red card was a bit harsh but that’s football. Overall, it showed how much character we have as a team.
“Everyone put a shift In and we deserved the three points. It could be the difference come the end of the season, so we just need to keep plugging on and taking each game at a time.”
Next up for the Yellows is a rearranged trip to Morpeth Town on Saturday.
It will be a fourth meeting between the two sides this season, with Town defeating them 2-0 on the opening day of the season before dumping them out of the FA Cup at the second attempt in September.
🗣️ “I think that’s the best performance of the season from our point of view."

Duffy returned to the starting line-up last weekend, and with the likes of Larnell Cole, Stefan Mols and Isaac Buckley-Ricketts also fighting for position, he knows the importance of maintaining a high level of personal performance when given the chance.
“It’s healthy competition at the end of the day,” he added. “We all do different things well and the quality in the squad is top-drawer.

“Everyone is important and will play their part before the end of the season.
“Personally, I think I’ve been good over the last few weeks. It’s been nice to get a run of games and I’m hoping to score goals and keep working hard for the team.
“Morpeth are a good side and we can’t take them lightly. It’s always a tough trip to face them up there, so we have to be on it from the first whistle.”
