Jordan Buckley scored a perfect hat-trick as Warrington Town thumped Lancaster City 5-1.
In horrendous wind and rain at Cantilever Park, Buckley opened the scoring after four minutes with a header, diverted a cross home right footed and then lashed home a stunner with his left-foot for the fifth.
The scoreline wasn’t a fair reflection on an entertaining game which Lancaster more than played their part in.
They had the better of the first half after Buckley’s early opener, with Dan Atherton the busier of the two ‘keepers, saving well from Charlie Bailey and the excellent left-back Liam Brockbank.
Jack Mackreth struck a post for the Yellows before doubling their lead four minutes after half-time with a fine left-foot shot.
That was a blow to the Dolly Blues’ purposeful start to the second half, though they did soon fire a warning shot – Rhys Turner cracking the crossbar.
The game went from end to end and there were five goals in 15 minutes to decide it.
Substitute Dom Reid set up Buckley for Warrington’s third, before Charlie Bailey diverted Brockbank’s cross in at the near post for 3-1.
Matt Grivosti diverted James Baillie’s cross home on 71 minutes for 4-1 before Buckley had the final say with the pick of the lot on 74.
